In Memory of Blaze
Blaze was a loved horse and he will always be loved. I will miss him so much. I loved to ride him. He loved being groomed. His favorite spot was his chest. People loved being around him. He was very energetic. We will have lots of memories of him. We will never forget Blaze and the joy he brought to everyone. I think that we all loved Blaze. I say the person who loved him most of all was Joyce. Joyce is an amazing person and she loved it when people came out and rode Blaze. She also loved it when people came out and hung out with Blaze and the other horses. We will have lots of memories of Blaze so let’s put those memories in our hearts and keep them there forever. Let’s cry together and let us laugh together and let us even mourn his death together. I know one thing about Hoofprints and that’s that we will never quit. Let’s keep doing the things that we do best and that’s riding horses.

Essay on Blaze and Ike
By Katie Welsch
This is an essay on two horses. One of them is named Blaze and the other is named Ike. Hi, my name is Katie Welsch. I love horses and I love to do horseback riding lessons. Blaze is a horse that is very nice to me. He gets very jealous when I give attention to Ike. Blaze and Ike are two ponies/horse that I ride. There is a big difference on how smoothly they both ride.

Blaze is a regular size horse and Ike is a little bit smaller or a lot smaller than Blaze is. Blaze ride more roughly because he is more oval shape belly. Ike rides smoother because he is more rounder. When I ride them both I use a bareback saddle. It is very fun. Things that I like about Blaze,
- He is very sweet
- Jealous when I’m riding Ike
- Loves when I groom him
- Loves when I feed him his super
- Loves when I ride him
- He is also very loving and kind
- Rides more rougher than Ike
Ike is much more cuter because he loves me a lot because he loves that I started riding him. Ike is also very sweet just like Blaze is. Ike is also a little smaller than Blaze is. Ike came to my instructors house about a month ago. Things that I like about Ike,
- He is very sweet
- He loves when I ride him( like Blaze does)
- He loves when I brush him
- He loves me
- He loves when I groom him
- He is also very loving and kind
- He is also a little bit smaller than Blaze
- Rides more smoother than Blaze
Ike is very nice to me. Right now I am learning how to ride bareback on him. It is pretty fun. I lllloooooovvvvveeeeee Blaze and Ike both.

The Tanner Essay
By Katie Welsch
This is an essay on a cat named Tanner. Hi, my name is Katie Welsch. I am 13 years old and I do horseback riding lessons. Every time I go there I will sometimes see Tanner. Tanner is a cat that lives at my instructors house. Tanner is very cute. He likes to talk to me every time I go there. I don’t understand one thing he is saying. He likes to tell about his day because he is King Tanner (which is very cute when he does do that). Things that I like about him,
- He is very cute
- He is very talkative
- He is very sweet
- He is very cuddly
Tanner is very nice to me. He also loves to be petted. Tanner is a brown, grey, and black cat. He loves to hide in the rafters inside the barn where he usually will be. When I first met Tanner he was very cute. When I bent down to pet him he wasn’t scared of me and he letted me pet him. Tanner loves to follow me and my mom Denise. Tanner loves to be picked up. Tanner will let me hand feed him. When I first hand fed him my instructor said “ Katie you are going to spoil him.” I said to her that I wasn’t spoiling him. Tanner also has two siblings that look almost like him. They rarely come out from hiding in the hay. Tanner sometimes won’t be in the barn because he is out hunting or he is outside with the horses. Tanner loves to be petted. A lot of time when I’m trying to groom Ike he will come up to me and he will rub against my leg because he would want to be petted. Tanner has a brother named Oreo. Oreo loves to sit on my lap and be petted as well. Whenever I pet Oreo his claw go in and out, and it hurts because his paw is on my leg. Tanner doesn’t sit on my lap but he is still friendly.
